The ticket office which gives access to the Leonardo museum route in Vinci is located in Piazza Leonardo da Vinci, n. 26, along one of the main access to the historic center.
ACCESS
The two buildings housing the Leonardo Museum, Palazzina Uzielli and the Conti Guidi Castle, are both fully accessible for mobility-impaired visitors andare equipped with dedicated facilities.
The exhibition halls in Palazzina Uzielli are all on the ground floor of the building, whereas there is a lift available to reach the toilets, classroom and the hall for temporary exhibitions.
In the Conti Guidi Castle, located a few hundred metres from the first part of the museum route,mobility-impaired visitors can use the dedicated entrance in piazza Guido Masi, where they can use the lift simply by ringing a bell and showing their entrance ticket to the museum.
The Leonardo Museum is in the historic centre of Vinci which is a pedestrian area normally only reachable on foot. If necessary, car access to the historic centre can be arranged by contacting the Vinci Tourist Office (phone 0571 933285).
PETS
At the Museum are welcome guide dogs for the blind person and small ones as long as they brought in special bags or carriers .
Access is allowed to a maximum of 10 people at the same time.
The steps to reach the viewing terrace are 124.
Minors must be accompanied.
