Description:
This model reproduces a machine for mechanizing the process of beating precious metals such as gold and silver. Leonardo intended the mechanical forge hammer to even be able to do serial production.
This large and technically complex machine worked by turning a main driving wheel which set a series of devices and automatic mechanisms in motion simultaneously, comprising pulleys, cog wheels and counterweights.
